Scarred..

When uninhibited innocence was attacked.

Limitless preciousness was attacked.

Left me empty and lifeless.

It’s been a free fall.

No time to stop and think.

Days come and go.

Hands sticking out to save me.

Ignored most of them.

None, I knew, would help.

In this unbearable pain,

I’ve made my place.

Hoping for a miracle.

Another insignificant tear rolls.

Falls amongst the million others.

Let them flow, like who cares.

Reality kicks in more often now.

It has a score to settle, it seems.

Like it wants to take revenge.

Recover, I never will, I’m sure.

It’s a scar that will remain.

As deep as it gets.
